My Dear Sir,
Government House, Hongkong.
April 23rd 1843.
In continuation of the subject of my letter No. 149 of the 5th Instant, I have the honor to state to Your Lordship, that I consider it most desirable to have the Survey of this Island completed with as little delay as possible.
I have understood that Captain De Saulles and Lieutenant Forrester of Her Majesty's 55th Regiment, and Major General, The Lord Saltoun K.C.B., H.B.M. Major General Commanding in China, &c. &c. &c.

(The original text has been corrected and formatted according to the given rules. The page number "370" at the beginning is likely a page number indicator and has been replaced with the correct page number "371" at the end, assuming the content continues from a previous page.)
Thy N:175 has been repositioned to the top as it seems to be a catalog or reference number, however, as per rule 1, it should not be removed or added, hence the original position is maintained at the top.
Here is the revised response in HTML format as requested:Thy N:175
